Where is the Addison Police Department located?
The Addison Police Department is located on the southeast corner of Lake Street and J.F. Kennedy Drive, just one block west of Addison Road. Entry to the parking lot can be gained from J.F. Kennedy Drive or Army Trail Boulevard.

Where is the Addison Field Court located?
Addison Field Court is located on the southeast corner of Lake Street and J.F. Kennedy Drive, just one block west of Addison Road. Park in the designated "Court Parking" areas only. Walk into the Police Department and go to the second floor to the court room. Entry to the parking lot can be gained from J.F. Kennedy Drive or Army Trail Boulevard.

Driving Directions from the North (Interstates 290 and 355):
South on I-290 and I-355 to the Lake Street (Route 20) exit. East on Lake Street approximately 2-1/2 miles to J.F. Kennedy Drive. South on J.F. Kennedy Drive and a quick left (east) into the parking lot, which is named Friendship Plaza. Park in the designated "Court Parking" areas only.

Driving Directions from the North (Route 83):
South on Route 83, underneath the I-290 bridge, to the Lake Street (Route 20) exit. West on Lake Street approximately 1-1/2 miles to J.F. Kennedy Drive (left turn lane at traffic light). South on J.F. Kennedy Drive and a quick left (east) into the parking lot, which is named Friendship Plaza. Park in the designated "Court Parking" areas only.

South on I-294 and I-94 to the I-290/Lake Street (Route 20) and North Avenue (Route 64) exit. West on I-290 to the Lake Street/North Avenue exit. Continue westbound on Lake Street approximately 3 miles to J.F. Kennedy Drive (turn left at traffic light). South on J.F. North on Route 83 to the Lake Street (Route 20)/Grand Avenue exit (left turn lane). West on Lake Street approximately 1-3/4 miles to J.F. Kennedy Drive (turn left at traffic light). South on J.F. Kennedy Drive and a quick left (east) into the parking lot, which is named Friendship Plaza. Park in the designated "Court Parking" areas only.

Driving Directions from the South (Route 53 and Interstate 355):
North on either Route 53 (Rohlwing Road) or I-355 to Army Trail Road. East on Army Trail Road approximately 2-1/2 miles. Stay to the right to follow Army Trail Boulevard behind to the municipal parking lot. Turn left (north) onto Friendship Plaza or continue on Army Trail Boulevard north, which changes its name to J.F. Kennedy Drive. Turn right (east) onto Friendship Plaza. Park in the designated "Court Parking" areas only.

Driving Directions from the East (Interstate 290) and from the South (Interstate 294):
West on I-290 to the Lake Street (Route 20)/North Avenue (Route 64) exit. Continue westbound on Lake Street approximately 3 miles to J.F. Kennedy Drive (left turn lane). South on J.F. Addison Field Court Adjudication Process
Adjudication of traffic and Village ordinance tickets heard in Addison Field Court are performed by the DuPage County 18th Judicial Circuit Court Clerk. You should direct all questions pertaining to traffic and Village ordinance tickets assigned to the Addison Field Court to the DuPage County 18th Judicial Circuit Court Clerk at (630) 407-8600 or go to their office at 505 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton, Illinois.

Where do I pay traffic tickets?
No Court Appearance Required Tickets - Payments can only be accepted by the DuPage County 18th Judicial Circuit Court Clerk either online at www.epay.18thjudicial.com; in-person at 505 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton; or through the mail by using the affidavit given to you by the police officer. These payments must be received by the DuPage County 18th Judicial Circuit Court Clerk no later than four (4) business days prior to the court date at the bottom of your traffic ticket. Failure to meet that deadline requires your appearance in Addison Field Court on the court date assigned to you. The Addison Police Department cannot continue your case or provide court dispositions from adjudicated court cases heard in Addison Field Court.

Must Appear Tickets - Payments will not be accepted by the DuPage County Circuit Court Clerk because of the "Must Appear" requirement. Your appearance can only be made on the court date and time that you have been assigned.

I missed my court date to the Addison Field Court. What should I do?

Where do I pay Village of Addison parking, compliance or Crime Free Multi-Housing ordinance tickets?
The Addison Police Department does not accept payment for any type of ticket or fine. Payment for all parking and compliance tickets can be made at the Village of Addison Finance Department located at 1 Friendship Plaza; through the U.S. mail; or online at www.violationspayment.com.

Village Finance Department hours are as follows: Mondays from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After hours, you can deposit your payment in the white mailbox located in the parking lot of the Village Hall. Please allow three (3) days for your payment to post.  If you have any questions regarding your parking tickets, please contact the Police Department at (630) 543-3080.

Why does the Village of Addison prohibit overnight parking?
Parking on the street is prohibited between the hours of 2:00 AM to 5:00 AM to ensure accessibility to snowplows, street sweepers and waste collection trucks. Citations will be issued to violators.

In the event of unusual circumstances such as the resurfacing of a driveway or overnight guest parking needed, residents are advised to contact the Dispatch Center at the Addison Police Department at (630) 543-3080 to request special parking permission. Residents will be required to provide the name of the vehicle owner and the telephone number where the Police Department can reach him or her in the event of an emergency, along with the make, color, license plate number and state (if not Illinois) of the vehicle.

How can I obtain a copy of a traffic accident report?
Traffic accident reports can be obtained in person at the Addison Police Department by the driver or owner of the vehicle involved in a motor vehicle accident. The charge is $5.00. Your insurance may also request a copy of the accident report for $5.00 by remitting a check payable to the Village of Addison at the following address:

How can I obtain a copy of an incident report?
You can either come into the Addison Police Department and fill out a Freedom of Information form in person or click here to download the form. A valid photo I.D. must be presented to receive a copy of the requested incident report.

There is no charge for incident report requests that are less than 51 pages. Requests of 51 pages or more are 15 cents for each additional page. Photographs are $3.00 per print, CDs (audio) are $10.00 each, and DVDs (video) are $25.00 each. There is no fee for an inspection of records.

What is the difference between soliciting and peddling?
Soliciting is taking orders for products or services and filling the order at a later date. Peddling is the exchange of product or service at the same time.

Is soliciting/peddling permitted in the Village of Addison?
Yes. Soliciting/peddling within the Village of Addison is permitted. Persons interested in soliciting/peddling must apply for a permit at least thirty (30) days prior to the event by presenting a completed solicitor/peddler application and photo I.D. to the Addison Police Department. The Village reserves the right to approve or deny applicants based on a criminal background check. Approved solicitors/peddlers will receive a letter in the mail confirming the Village's decision.

The approval letter must be presented to the Village's Finance Department, along with applicable fees, before the solicitor's/peddler's badge can be distributed. All approved solicitors/peddlers must wear the solicitor/peddler badge produced by the Addison Police Department which displays their name, the company they represent, and the approved dates to solicit/peddle. Approved solicitors and peddlers may have conversations with the public to sell their wares or services. Religious organizations are exempt from having to apply for a permit.

How can I make a complaint about a solicitor/peddler at my door?

Do members of the Police Department solicit for donations by phone or through the mail?
No. The Addison Police Department's union, MAP #81, hires an organization to solicit for donations used for charitable events. To report a solicitor claiming to be a member of the Addison Police Department or to make a complaint about a solicitor/peddler, contact the Addison Police Department at (630) 543-3080.
