Deputy Chief Joseph Maranowicz has been with theMaranowicz_JosephAddison Police Department since January 2000. He has a Bachelor's degree in Management from DeVry University and a Master's degree from Lewis University in Public Safety Administration. Deputy Chief Maranowicz is a graduate of the Northwestern Public Safety Program for Police Staff and Command, as well as a graduate of the FBI National Academy, 257th Session. He is a member of the Illinois Chiefs
of Police Funeral Assistance Team, the Northern Illinois Critical Incident Stress Management Team, as well as the DuPage Incident Management Assistance Team.

Deputy Chief Maranowicz served as a Patrolman and as a Detective within the Criminal Investigations Section. He was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant in June 2006. In May 2007, he was brought into the Criminal Investigations Section as a Detective Sergeant and was promoted to Detective Commander of Investigations in 2010. In May of 2014, he was promoted to Deputy Chief of the Support Services Division and also serves as the Village of Addison's Emergency Manager.

Deputy Chief Maranowicz has received Exemplary Performance Awards, Merit Review Awards and employee of the month.
