Programming

CHILDREN

After School Program (during school year). Please see the attached After School Programming calendar for more details on all of the activities and programs for children.

Monday ~ Friday
3:00 – 5:25 p.m.
Grades 1 thru 8

Programming includes:

  • Art Classes
  • Meal Distribution for After School Program Participants
  • Crafting
  • Computer Access
  • Homework Assistance
  • Fun Fridays
  • NEDFYS Social Service Organization, which provides youth outreach to its participants:
    • Lion Quest
    • Healthy Habits
    • Youth Committee
    • Homework Buddies
Summer Camp (June – August)
Monday ~ Thursday
10:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Grades 1 thru 8

English Language Acquisition (ELA) Classes
Classes are offered by the College of DuPage to adults 18 years and over during Summer and Fall to Spring semesters every Monday and Wednesday.

Fall to Spring

Summer
Monday and Wednesday
8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

Computer Literacy Classes
Classes are offered by instructors from the People's Resource Center on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please call (630) 626-2680 to register for classes.

Teen Parenting Classes
Classes are offered by Teen Parenting Connection year round.
Tuesday
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Fairs

  • End of Summer Barbecue

Spanish Literacy Program
Classes  are offered to adults that never learned how to read or write in their native language. Classes are given by trained instructors.  To register, contact the Henry Hyde Resource Center at (630) 628-2680.
