Sex Offenders
The Addison Police Department maintains a sex offender registry to facilitate access to publicly available information about persons convicted of sex offenses.
Persons required to register as sex offenders are those who have been charged with an offense listed in Illinois Compiled Statutes 730 ILCS 150/2(B) when such charge results in one of the following:
- A conviction for the commission of the offense or attempt to commit the offense,
- A finding of not guilty by reason of insanity of committing the offense or attempting to commit the offense, or
- A finding not resulting in an acquittal at a hearing for the alleged commission or attempted commission of the offense.
Anyone who uses this information to commit a criminal act against another person is subject to criminal prosecution.
Information is updated regularly in an effort to assure that the information on the sex offender registry is complete and accurate; however, the Police Department makes no representation, express or implied, that the information is accurate. Offenders may have moved and failed to notify the Police Department as required by law. Additional information and verification can be obtained from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office or the Illinois State Police. See the related links.
Please contact the Investigations Section at (630) 693-7941 for information on registering or any questions regarding this list.
